Sadness of Dawn

by Harish, Grade 4

The day I felt sorrow

It felt like I was full of melancholy

The way the bird put an eye on me, it was a sparrow

I felt like I was full of bird’s feathers fluttering softly

Birds move on, as we move on

As the night turns into dawn

The memories we have are ecstatic

They will always be happy in our hearts

The fun time we had together was static

Even though it’s sad, we must drift apart

Remember:

Birds move on, as we move on

As the night turns into dawn
